Welcome to Peterson Park

Peterson Park has playground equipment, miniature golf, disc golf, picnic tables and shelters, restrooms, sand volleyball, basketball courts, tennis courts, horseshoe pit, hills for snow sledding and beautiful scenery. A canoe ramp for access to the Embarras River was installed in the fall of 2007.

​A new aquatic center opened in 2010 with a state-of-the-art bathhouse and concession area, 90′ spiral water slide, wade-in zero depth area, lap pool and diving area with two one-meter diving platforms.

Rules:

  • We prefer you to bring your own helmets and bats
  • All batters must wear a helmet and closed-toed shoes
  • Batters must stay behind the white line at all times
  • Non-batters are to stay out of the cages at all times

The Batting Cages will be OPEN for the season on Friday, March 15, 2024

Rules:

  • While miniature golfing, please stay off of the bricks
  • Do not mess in ponds or gardening
  • Riverside Recreation will close in bad weather conditions.

Disc Golf


Discs are available for rental.  $10.00 rental fee per disc (will be refunded once disc is returned)

Disc Golf Course (MAP)

The Embarras River Tourism Council has purchased nine basket disc golf equipment for Peterson Park.  The course is in the east area of the park.  There are 9 orange tees and 9 blue tees.  Discs can be rented at Riverside Recreation, or bring your own.
