Planned Water Outage
UPDATE 08-27-2024 1:15 PM: Water has been restored. Those affected are under a boil order until further notice.
ORIGINAL NEWS POST: The next step in the S. Van Buren water main project is upon us. On Tuesday, August 27, 2024, water service will be turned off in the following locations, so we can tie into the main:
- S Van Buren from Homewood Grill Newton to Henry (With the exception of Homewood Grill Newton Branch, the apartments at 300 S Van Buren, Crain Funeral Home, Newton Christian Church, 400 S Van Buren and Newton Elementary School.)
- Martin Street from S. Van Buren to Liberty Ave
Please make preparations for water to be off from 7AM – 5 PM.
If something prevents this tie-in from occurring on Tuesday, the backup date is Wednesday, August 28.
